A funeral will be held today, March 25, 2024, for 99-year-old Lillian Bohnert of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born December 7, 1924 in Gordonville, Mo. a daughter of August O. Maag and Ella (Houck) Maag who both preceded her in death.
Lillian married Harold “Harry” J. Bohnert June 7, 1947 at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, Mo.. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter: Brenda Sue (Larry) Brown of Perryville, Mo.; two grandchildren: Jamie and Joshua (Teasha); and two great-grandchildren, Kiara and Alec.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Lawrence Maag and William Maag; and two sisters: Nora Brugger and Ruby Borgfield.
She was a cook for the public schools.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Lillian was a wonderful seamstress and loved quilting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons when they were younger.
Visitation will be 8:30-10 a.m. today, March 25, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
A funeral for 99-year-old Lillian Bohnert of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 25, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joseph Schlie officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
