JEFFERSON CITY — Sales taxes in the city of Perryville were down for the month of February but still on the plus side for the first two months of the year.
The Missouri Department of Revenue reported the city’s general revenue sales tax brought in $192,201.38 in February which is down $7,225.07 from February of last year.
Despite that, revenue so far this calendar year is up $1,640 compared with the first two months of last year.
Similar trends were seen in the city’s two other sales taxes: public mass transportation and capital improvements.
Perryville’s consolidated city use tax brought in $33,872.07 in February which is down $10,979.40 from February 2023.
