A funeral will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 for 75-year-old Cheryl McDonald of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 1 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 at Addington Place of Sparta, Sparta, Illinois.
She was born July 26, 1948 in Red Bud, Illinois, a daughter of Gloria (nee Sipole) Eggemeyer, who preceded her in death.
She married Dennis McDonald July 14, 1995 in Chester, Illinois; he survives in Chester.
She is also survived by a daughter: Deana (Tom) Tudor of Chester, Ill.; a brother: Terry (Patty) Kueker of Chester, Ill.; a granddaughter: Emily Tudor of Chandler, Ariz.; and a step-sister: Judy (Denny) Ward.
She was also preceded in death by: her step father: Jerry Eggemeyer, a step son: Tim Hartman, in-laws: Waldo and Francie McDonald and a step brother: Bob Eggemeyer.
She loved children and ran her own in-home daycare for 25 years.
Cheryl enjoyed crocheting, camping with family and loved to be outside and around water.
She also enjoyed going to the Chester Senior Center.
She was an animal lover and took care of any stray animals that she could.
Cheryl was also a great cook and loved to cook for everyone.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024 and 9-11 a.m.Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the
Pechacek Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois.

Interment will be in the Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove, Illinois.
