JEFFERSON CITY – A Ste. Genevieve woman was killed and two other persons were seriously injured in a traffic crash on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County Friday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 51-year-old Michelle L. Flieg was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson where she was pronounced.
The patrol says 60-year-old Paul A. Flieg and 25-year-old Jessica L. Flieg suffered serious injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
The patrol says the crash happeened when a northbound 2001 Jeep Wrangler being driven by Michelle Flieg traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Michelle and Paul were ejected from the vehicle. The patrol says they were unrestrained while Jessica was buckled up.
The crash happened about 6:20 p.m. at the 156.6 mile marker.
The Jeep had moderate damage and was towed by Ste. Genevieve County Towing.
