CFD responds to blaze on West Holmes Street

CHESTER – The Chester Fire Department was called out at 11:22 p.m. Friday, February 16th for a structure fire at 701 West Holmes Street in Chester.

 

 

Fire units arrived on the scene to find a two story house with flames coming out of the front of the house.

 

No one was home.

 

Fireman made entry into the home and extinguished the fire.

 

Ellis Grove and Steeleville Fire departments were called for mutual aid.

 

The scene was secured, and all fire departments were back in service by 2:30 a.m.
