STE GENEVIEVE — Rylee Overmann is the Elks Student of the Month from Valle Catholic High School.
Rylee is the daughter of David and Amanda Overmann.
Her academic awards include: Academic All State in 2023, A-Honor Roll 2021-2024, Class Top 10 2021-2023, and Scholar Athlete 2023.
She aided volunteers at the Vincentian Marian Youth Thrift Store, Laboure Exchange; participated in Operation Overhaul, a mission based service project helping individuals and families in need in 2022.
She tutored young children in various subjects 2020-2023, led young children in learning activities 2020-2023, helped kids in basketball drills during basketball camp 2021-2023, worked at the school’s concession stand, and participated in the school’s service day 2021-2024.
She is employed at Sara’s Ice Cream and Laboure Exchange.
Her plans for after graduation are to attend Kaskaskia College for two years and then transfer to a four-year college majoring in education.
