Margaret ‘Marge’ Gladys Pautler

A funeral will be  held Saturday, February 17, 2024 for 87-year-old Margaret ‘Marge’ Gladys Pautler of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 2:01 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

 

She was born March 10, 1936 in East St. Louis a daughter of Louis and Lillie (nee Kisro) Heuman, who both preceded her in death.

 

She married Anthony M. Pautler June 4, 1955 at St. Boniface Church Rectory in Evansville, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 18, 1995.

 

She is survived by two sons: the Reverend Steven M. Pautler of Centralia, Ill. and Brian (Alice) Pautler of Columbia, Illinois; a great grandson: Oliver Erwin of Columbia, Ill.; a great granddaughter on the way; two sisters: Marion Jordan of Red Bud, Ill. and Gloria (Emmet) Montroy of Ellis Grove, Ill.; a brother-in-law: Norman Pautler of Columbia, Ill.; a sister-in-law: Connie Holley of Chester, Ill.; two grandchildren: Heather (Daniel) Erwin of Columbia, Ill. and Travis Pautler of St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Lois (Glenn) Bollinger and Dorothy (Milton) Gross; two brothers-in-law: Boniface Jordan and Roger Holley and four sisters-in-law: Margie Pautler, Doris (William) Kamper, Thelma (George) Stork and Joan Pautler

 

She retired from Spartan Printing Company in Sparta, Illinois after working in the accounting department for 30 years.

 

Marge was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Evansville, Illinois.

 

She loved to travel, visit with friends and dining at local restaurants.

 

Marge enjoyed spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson.

 

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Evansville, Illinois.

 

A funeral for 87-year-old Margaret ‘Marge’ Gladys Pautler of Red Bud, Illinois will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Evansville, Illinois. Pastor Kevin Hirsch and Fr. Steven Pautler will officiate.

 

Interment will be in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Illinois.
