A private funeral will be held for 87-year-old Melba Cartee of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at home.
She was born June 20, 1936 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. a daughter of Edward Palmer and Minerva (Joggerst) Palmer who both preceded him in death.
She married George Cartee on June 4, 1976. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son: Wallace “Sonny” (Gail) Palmer of Saint Mary, Mo.; grandchildren: Braden (Torie) Palmer, and Landon (Ericia) Palmer; great grandchildren: Braelyn, Keeley, Cullen, Rhaya, Rosie, Lincoln, Maverick and Harlee; sister: Rita Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
She was also preceded in death by: six sisters: Rosemary Naeger, Majella C. Basler, Marcella C. Schulze, Gertrude Grogg, Bernice Schmelzle and Vernetta Thomure.
Private services will be held
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
Melba was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
