Board of Aldermen fails to meet Thursday due to lack of a quorum

STE. GENEVIEVE — You may have noticed a lack of news from last Thursday’s Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen meeting.

That’s because there was no meeting.

The board needs at least five of the eight aldermen to show up for the meeting and that didn’t happen Thursday. City officials have not been available to comment on the lack of a quorum.

Unless the city schedules a special meeting, the next meeting of the board of aldermen will be Feb. 22nd.

Thursday’s meeting would have been the final board of aldermen meeting in the temporary city hall at 44 Plaza Drive. The move back to the remodeled city hall is set for Monday, February 19.
