Re-Organizational Meeting Minutes
Call to Order at 5:30 pm by David Bova Reorganization of the Commission: Commissioner Buchheit nominated Commissioner Benner for Commission Chair. Commissioner Tucker seconded the nomination. There being no further nominations, a vote was taken, and Commissioner Benner was elected Chairperson by a vote of 5-0.
Commissioner Buchheit nominated Commissioner Hart for Commission Vice Chair. Commissioner Hooper seconded the nomination. There being no further nominations, a vote was taken, and Commissioner Hart was elected Vice-Chairperson by a vote of 5-0.
Adjournment of Re-Organizational Meeting: Mr. Bova adjourned the re-organizational meeting at 5:32 pm.
Regular Meeting Minutes
Call to Order at 5:33 pm
Roll Call:
Commissioners Casey Benner, Mark Buchheit, Bill Hart, Whitney Tucker, & Tom Hooper were present at roll call.
Additionally, Aldermanic Liaison Patrick Fahey and Asst. City Administrator David Bova were present.
Approval of Agenda: Commissioner Hart made a Motion to approve the Agenda as presented. Commissioner Buchheit seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Buchheit made a motion to approve the minutes from the December 18, 2023 meeting as presented. Commissioner Hooper seconded the motion, which passed 5-0.
Introduction of Evidence: Mr. Bova asked that the Commission approve the entry into the record of the Ste. Genevieve Municipal Code and the Design Guidelines for the Sainte Genevieve National Register Historic District along with the staff reports and related material presented to them. Commissioner Hart made a Motion to accept the evidence into the record. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Tucker and passed 5-0.

New Business:
- SGHC009-24 To receive a Certificate of Appropriateness to remove and replace the pergola structure at 245 Merchant. Applicant, Bridgette Bennett was present via Zoom, and discussed her application. Commissioners asked some questions about the replacement pergola and made some suggestions as to style but were satisfied with the replacement proposed. Commissioner Buchheit made a Motion to Approve the request as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Tucker and passed 5-0.
Administrative Approvals:
- Certificate of Appropriateness – 167 S Gabouri Public Comments: Mr. Ernie Kovak had some questions regarding the foundation at 167 S Gabouri which were answered by Mr. Bova and the Commission.
Meeting Adjourned: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:43 pm.
