A funeral will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 for 91-year-old Clinton Baechle of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
He was born July 24, 1932 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. a son of: William Baechle and Elvina (Hoog) Baechle who both preceded him in death.
He married Delores (Fuller) Baechle on September 18, 1954. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by three daughters: Joyce E. (Gary) Abbott of Rolla, Mo., Janet (Gordon Zoesch) Coleman of Shawnee Mission, Kans., and Sandy (Lance) Reed of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a son: Mike (Amy) Baechle of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a brother: Robert Baechle of Bloomsdale, Mo.; four sisters: Reva (August) Grein of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Mary Ann (Gerald) Wilson of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Norma (Jim) Martine of Little Rock, Ark., and Linda Rector (special friend Bruce Bova) of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; grandchildren: Eric Abbott, Ashlee (Patrick) Gray; Jeremy Zoesch; Molly Baechle (special friend Mark Heiser), Matthew Baechle; Tyler (Kelsey) Reed, Haley Reed (special friend Matt Halderman); great grandchildren: Evelyn, Vivian, Etta, Owen, Ainsley, Adley, Josie, and Landon.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Helen Jokerst, Leanna A. Naeger, and Doris R. Bauman; and two brothers: Alvin J. Baechle and Raymond “Pete” Baechle.
He was a member of American Legion Post 150 and First Baptist Church.
Clinton served in the U.S. Army where he met Delores and they were married for almost 70 years.
He loved fishing, playing cards, gardening and watching the Cardinals and Chiefs.
There was nothing Clinton couldn’t fix, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 91-year-old Clinton Baechle of Sainte Genevieve will be held at First Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 with full military honors. The Rev. Roger Faulkner will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Legacy Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
