Suspect in police pursuit charged

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the suspect involved in a police pursuit that began in Ste. Genevieve County and came to an end in the Perryville City Park on January 10th.

 

Ste. Genevieve County Chief Deputy Jason Schott says the suspect is 38-year-old Thomas Christopher Lang of Farmington.

 

He is being held without bond on charges of two counts of resisting arrest, second degree assault on a special victim, driving while revoked or suspended, exceeding posted speed limit, failing to yield to emergency vehicle, careless and imprudent driving, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; and 21 outstanding warrants from several jurisdictions.

 

A female companion was also taken into custody and was released pending the filing of charges.

 

Lang will also face charges in Perryville.

 

He is also named in the following warrants:

 

-Probation Violation Warrant through Franklin County on the original charge of Aggravated Assault-Family-Weapon.

No Bond allowed.

 

-Probation Violation Warrant through Franklin County on the original charge of Domestic Assault-2nd Degree and Resisting/Interfering Arrest for a Felony.

No Bond allowed.

 

-Probation Violation Warrant through Franklin County on the following original charges of Driving While Revoked/Suspended, Resisting/Interfering with arrest for a felony, Leaving Scene of an accident. No Bond allowed.

 

-Probation Violation Warrant through Washington County on the following original charges:

–Driving While Revoked/Suspended

–Property Damage-1st Degree

Bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety.

 

–Failure to Appear Warrant through Perry County on the original charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Bond was set at $10,000.00 cash only.

 

-Probation Violation Warrant through Jefferson County on the original charge of:

–Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop by Fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person. Bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

 

-Failure to Appear Warrant through the Desloge Police Department on the following original charges:

–Operated motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner

–Driver failed to wear properly adjusted/fastened safety belt.

-Failure to Appear Warrant through Desloge Police Department on the original charge of Changed lanes when movement could not be made with safety-cause immediate threat of an accident. Bond was set at $500.00 cash or surety.

-Failure to Appear warrant through Desloge Police Department on the original charge of Operated motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license/privilege revoked. Bond was set at $500.00 cash or surety.

 

-Failure to Appear warrant through Desloge Police Department on the original charge of Failure to Yield to emergency vehicle sounding audible siren signal/displaying lighted visible red/blue light. Bond was set at $500.00 cash or surety.
