A funeral will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 for 62-year-old Luanne Korando of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 11:05 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2024 at her residence.
She was born July 4, 1961 in Chester, a daughter of Henry and Leola (nee Smith) Eggemeyer.
Luanne married Ronald Korando on April 6, 1979 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois; he survives in Chester.
She is also survived by two children: Joe (Jamie) Korando of Red Bud, Ill. and Beth (Doug) Little Swansea, Ill.; three grandchildren: Natalie Korando, Colin Korando and Dominic Little; two dogs: Otto and Nugget and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three siblings: Cheryl Maue, Peggy Robb and Pamela Knop.
She had worked as a bank teller for Buena Vista National Bank in Chester for 20 years and before that for a short time had worked at the hospital and nursing home as a certified nursing assistant.
Luanne was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois.
She loved her pets and enjoyed side by side and four wheeler riding, going on vacation and mowing her lawn.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Illinois
and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois.
A funeral mass for 62-year-old Luanne Korando of Chester, Illinois will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois. Officiating: Father Sebastian Ukoh.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Chester, Illinois.
