Paul ‘Rocky’ E Roth

A funeral will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 for 85-year-old Paul “Rocky” E Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

He was born January 22, 1938 in Ste Genevieve, Mo. a son of Eugene Roth and Irene Roth, who both preceded him in death.

 

He married Carol (Buatte) Roth on September 15, 1962. She preceded him in death.

 

He is survived four sons: Paul (Annette) Roth Jr. of Sainte Genevieve, Mo, Dennis (Cheri) Roth of Chester, Ill., Michael “Ozzie” (Laura) Roth of Saint Peters, Mo., and Carl (Megan) Roth of Pittsburg, Kans.; a daughter: Marsha (Tom) Wortham of St Peters, Mo.; a brother: Robert (Delores) Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; and grandchildren: Alex and Kyle Roth; Christopher, Jeffrey, Sarah, Joseph, Matthew, Daniel, Stephen and Katie Roth, Natalie Kane, Deidre Manis; Erica Guittar, Rebecca Roth; Jax and Ty Roth; Tommy, Charlie and Gus Wortham; and 19 great-grandchildren and two on the way

 

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Myra (Dave) Brazie; a brother: Olin Roth; and a grandson, Jacob Roth.

 

Rocky was a member of the American Legion Post 150, Knights of Columbus Council 1037, Valle Athletic Club and Ste Gen Jaycees.

 

He enjoyed playing cards, grilling on the weekends, and being with family and friends.

 

He loved coaching, especially when his kids were playing basketball, baseball and softball.

 

Rocky was well known as a huge Valle Warrior fan. He didn’t miss many games.

 

Rocky was social and outgoing and would buy a round for everyone. Matter of fact, everyone in town knew him. His classic sense of humor and one-liners will not be forgotten.

 

Most of all, Rocky was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

 

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve.

 

A funeral for 85-year-old Paul “Rocky” E Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve.

 

Burial will follow at Valle Spring Cemetery.

 

There will be a memorial meal at noon on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the American Legion.
