“I am truly grateful to MRV Banks for this generous donation made in my honor,” said Abts. “I believe that good education is the backbone of a community and I feel so fortunate that we have such incredible public and private school options in this community.”

“Steve Abts has been an invaluable asset to MRV Banks, and his expertise and dedication have played a crucial role in our growth and success over the years,” said MRV Banks CEO and President Doug Watson. “As he embarks on a well-deserved retirement, we express our deepest gratitude for his service and leadership. The charitable donation in his honor is a testament to the lasting impact he has had on our organization and our community.”

Jason Blum, Donor Consultant on the Valle School Foundation board, said that $25,000 will help support education in the Ste. Genevieve community. The Foundation is committed to having a long-term sustainable financial plan to ensure future generations in Ste. Genevieve will have the same opportunities to go to school at Valle Catholic Schools.

“Without committed individuals, like Steve Abts, that dedicate themselves to causes bigger than themselves, and businesses, like MRV Banks, that place a priority on the betterment of their clients and communities they serve, the Valle Catholic Schools Foundation would not be able to accomplish the goals we set forth for the advancement of a faith-based education in Ste. Genevieve,” said Jason Blum.

“We’re beyond grateful for the donation MRV Banks has committed and the efforts Steve continues to provide to the Valle Catholic Schools Foundation, allowing us to directly support the mission the Foundation has set forth to provide opportunities for every student to maximize their potential and develop their moral compass to do good.”
