JEFFERSON CITY — A 70-year-old Ste. Genevieve man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Route T in Perry County Friday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Jay W. Brunk was taken to St. Louis University Hospital by an Air Evac helicopter.
The patrol says Brunk was the driver of a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado which ran off the right side of the roadway and then returned to the roadway and traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
The patrol says Brunk was buckled up.
The crash happened about 2:15 p.m. west of Route BB.
The Silverado was a total loss and was removed from the scene by Perry County Towing.
