Ste. Gen man among  MAC Law Enforcement Academy grads

PARK HILLS – A Ste. Genevieve man is one of nine students who graduated from the Mineral Area College 1,000-hour Basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) course during a commencement ceremony held Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2023, in the college’s Fine Arts Theater.

Class 23-107 graduates include Wade Schmidt of Ste. Genevieve and and Jonathan Cabral of Farmington; Cory Coffman of Bismarck; Jadin Crump of Farmington; Jonathan Moore of Potosi; Jeremy Reid of Farmington; Samuel Rose of Dittmer; Corwin Segal of Bonne Terre; and Kaitlyn Wheeler of Fredericktown.

Since 1994, Mineral Area College Law Enforcement Academy (MACLEA) has provided regional law enforcement training to students interested in achieving a career as a peace officer. Recruits are prepared mentally, physically, ethically, and with proficient skills to perform police duties at a high level of competency. Throughout the 1000-hour program, students participate in classroom instruction, intense physical training, and live training exercises.
