A funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024 for 73-year-old Barbara “Barbie Ann” Fleeman of Bloomsdale, Mo. who passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at her home.
She was born August 14, 1950 in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of Noel William Bates and Doris Bates, who both preceded her in death.
She married Robert Fleeman Sr. November 9, 1968.
She is survived by a daughter: Delores (Dion) Ditch of Bloomsdale, Mo.; a son: Robert (Christy) Fleeman Jr. of Bloomsdale, Mo.; two brothers: Dan (Belated Judy) Bates and Terry Bates; five grandchildren: Alex Fleeman, Quaid Fleeman, Trevor Ditch, Tyler (Tammy) Ditch, and Garrett (Stacy) Ditch; five great-grandchildren: Ayela Ditch, Haley Ditch, Remi Ditch, Rory Ditch, and Beckett Ditch; nieces and nephews: Danielle Hill, Wayne Hill, Allison Bates, Mike Bates, Becky Graves, Paula Barbagallo, Seth Bates, Megan Oberreiter, Sydney Lodes, Rick Ditch, Christine Joggerst, Lori Williams, Andy Ditch, Rodney Bequette, Chris Bequette, Rhonda Klump, Dennis Bequette, Nikki Schrumpf, Val Ditch, Vince Ditch, Shirley, John Ditch, Matt Ditch, Mary Kate Correll, Jeff Fleeman, Mindy Dallas, Rosie Mae Fleeman, and Kim Hunter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Noelle June Hill and Jackie Russell; two brothers: William Bates and James Bates; a granddaughter: Elizabeth Ditch; and a niece: Emily Bates-Griggs.
Barbie Ann was full of life and made everyone smile. She loved to joke and tease and knew how to make everyone feel comfortable.
Barbie Ann was the “bonus mom” that people would confide in as she never judged anyone. She was the rock, the glue, and the best friend to so many people.
Barbie Ann was loved by all.
Visitation will be 3-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 73-year-old Barbara “Barbie Ann” Fleeman will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home. Jeff Fleeman will officiate.
Burial of cremated remains will be at Concord Cemetery in Bloomsdale, Mo. at a later date.
