A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 30 for 68-year-old Debra Kay Coomer of Perryville, Mo. passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday, Dec. 25, 2023 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born January 26, 1955 in St. Louis, Mo. a daughter of Billy Joe and Mary Lou (Boone) Whitaker who both preceded her in death.
She married Patrick Coomer October 3, 2002 at Whitewater Christian Church and were happily married for 21 years. He survives in Peryville.
Survivors include a son: Steven Ray (JaNeen) Allen II of Imperial, Mo.; a daughter: Meko Lailer of Perryville, Mo.; a step-son: Jaysen Coomer of Hazelwood, Mo.; step-daughter: Jaime (Scott) Downs of Florrisant, Mo.; two brothers: Billy Don (Debbie) Whitaker of Perryville, Mo. and Bob (Sue) Whitaker of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren: Savannah Lailer, Samantha Allen, Steven Allen III, Georgia Coomer, AJ Downs, and Austin Downs.
Kay was a Realtor and homemaker.
She loved cooking, event planning and hosting.
Her house was always filled with friends, family and laughter.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
