A funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 2 for 74-year-old Danny Raymond Schweigert of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Mo.
He was born August 7, 1949 in St Louis, Mo. a son of Orville Schweigert and Anna Schweigert who both preceded him in death.
He married Brenda (Stamm) Schweigert April 12, 1985. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by two daughters: Megan Schweigert of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., and Dana Schweigert of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; a son: Eric (Denise) Schweigert of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; three step sons: Brian (Cathy) Stamm of the state of Florida, Christoper (Deserae) Stamm of Pevely, Mo., and Benjamin (Jeanna) Walker of Charleston, Mo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother: Glennon (Carol Martin) Schweigert; a sister: Jean Ann Belote; and a grandson: Michael Mooney.
Danny was a former member of Jaycee’s of Ste Gen and played softball when he was younger.
He was also a member of Sportsman’s Club and Missouri Trappers Association.
Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 74-year-old Danny Raymond Schweigert of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Ryan Weber will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
