STE. GENEVIEVE – The identity of the victim of Saturday’s fatal house fire on Highway 61 north of Ste. Genevieve has been released.
Ste. Genevieve County Coroner Eric Basler says Dean Deano Grieshaber perished in the fire.
Firefighters say they could not enter the house because of the intensity of the blaze. Grieshaber’s body was not found until after the fire was out.
Meanwhile there has been no word of the cause of the fire, though a Ring camera video seemed to indicate it may have been an explosion, as it spread instantly after igniting.
But just what caused it remains unknown at this time. The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating.
A funeral for Grieshaber will be held Monday, January 15th at 10 a.m. at the Church of Ste. Genevieve
