St. Mary collector’s resignation accepted during closed meeting

  1. MARY – The St. Mary Board of Aldermen voted unanimously Monday during a closed meeting to accept the resignation of City Collector Katrina Ullman.

 

The minutes of the meeting do not disclose what led to the resignation.

 

The board named City Clerk April Grindstaff to take over the duties until the April election.

BE IT REMEMBERED: The Board of Alderman went into a Closed Meeting on Thursday, December 5th , 2023 at 732 3rd Street, St. Mary MO 63673 at 5:00 p.m. to discuss

 

  • 610.021(1) RSMo – Legal actions, causes of action or litigation involving a public governmental body and any confidential or privileged communications between a public governmental body or its Representatives and its attorneys. 

 

  • 610.021(3) RSMo – Hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of particular employees by a public governmental body when personal information about the employee is discussed or recorded.

 

A motion was made by Alderman Annette Hacker to open the closed session. Alderman Kathy Bergmann seconded the motion.  Roll call as follows: Alderman Brenda Thompson (aye), Alderman Kathy Bergmann (aye), Alderman Zenon Duda (aye- via phone call) and Alderman Annette Hacker (aye).

 

Alderman Annette Hacker made a motion to accept the resignation from Katrina Ullman as City Collector. Alderman Brenda Thompson seconded the motion. Roll call as follows: Alderman Zenon Duda (aye), Alderman Kathy Bergmann (aye), Alderman Brenda Thompson (aye) and Alderman Annette Hacker (aye) and Motion carried. 

 

 

Alderman Annette Hacker made a motion to for City Clerk April Grindstaff to take over the Collectors position temporarily until the Election. The Alderman agreed to pay April $15.50 an hour until the circumstances change.  Alderman Zenon Duda seconded the motion. Roll call as follows: Alderman Brenda Thompson (aye), Alderman Kathy Bergmann (aye), Alderman Zenon Duda (aye) and Alderman Annette Hacker (aye) and Motion carried.

 

 

Alderman Annette Hacker made a motion to adjourn at 5:25 p.m.  Alderman Kathy Bergmann seconded the motion. Roll call as follows: Alderman Brenda Thompson (aye), Alderman Kathy Bergmann (aye), Alderman. Zenon Duda (aye), Alderman Annette Hacker (aye) and Motion carried.
