Cape Girardeau Miracle-Ear named Miracle-Ear Foundation Top Provider

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Miracle-Ear of Cape Girardeau recently learned it has been named the Miracle-Ear Foundation’s 2023 Top Provider.

The Miracle-Ear Foundation is a charitable organization that works with franchises nationwide to provide no cost hearing aids to adults and children who could not otherwise afford them. Top Provider is awarded annually to the store that finishes the year with the highest ranking in an index that combines hearing aid fittings and fundraising.

“I am proud to recognize Miracle-Ear of Cape Girardeau as the Foundation Top Provider Team,” said Miracle-Ear Foundation Vice President Jenni Johnson Hargraves. “They lead the nation in caring for their community by delivering life-changing hearing aids to those in need.”

Cape Girardeau fit 31 individuals with no cost hearing aids through the Foundation in 2023 in addition to raising more than $6,400 in donations to support the Foundation’s mission of providing “The Gift of Sound.” The Cape Miracle-Ear staff includes Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist Kyle Griffin, front office associates Barbie Kirn and Amy Hopper, and Hearing Instrument Specialist in Training Bridgette Swinford. The Cape Miracle-Ear team will be recognized during the Miracle-Ear Convention January 31-February 4 in Punta de Mita, Mexico.

“I am incredibly proud of all the work our Cape store put into supporting the Miracle-Ear Foundation this year,” said Molly Hill Ford, Managing Partner of Miracle Ear Centers Serving Southeast Missouri. “This is the kind of team you hope will work for you. They are not only the best at what they do, but they also have a sincere commitment to helping fit everyone who needs hearing aids regardless of their situation.”

Cape Miracle-Ear would like to highlight partnerships with the following organizations who helped identify individuals for fitting and/or helped fund Foundation application fees: Aging Matters, Cape County Health Department, and the Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri.

Cape Miracle-Ear would also like to thank all the individuals who donated to the Foundation in addition to the following businesses and organizations: Arby’s, Burger King, Fresh Healthy Cafe, Dairy Queen, Logan’s Roadhouse, McDonald’s, Taco Bell & Club Car Wash, Modern Woodmen, Walmart, Cape Girardeau Farmers Market, Century Casino, Chaffee VFW Auxiliary, Oaktree Products, Seabrite Insurance, and Robinson Outdoor.

“We are honored to be recognized as Top Provider, but this was truly a result of teamwork within our franchise as well as the greater community” said Griffin “We are so grateful for all the individuals and organizations that helped make this happen. We are proud to represent southeast Missouri with this award.”

The 2023 Top Provider finish was a redemption story for Cape Miracle-Ear after finishing a close second for last year’s Top Provider. Cape led the system with a record-breaking 45 fittings in 2022 in addition to raising $8,600 in donations.  The Cape staff also contributed to a franchise-wide Miracle Mission in August 2023 during which 159 individuals received the Gift of Sound during a week-long event in Poplar Bluff and Kennett.
