STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Museum Learning Center will present famed caver Chad McCain tonight.
McCain will will give a presentation on the Blackfathom River Cave
system, a large cave found in southern Ste. Genevieve County.
Chad and his team have explored and charted the entire length of the cave and have much to
share on its composition and origin.
This cave is 7.14 miles long and is currently the seventh longest cave in the state of Missouri.
Prior to 15 years ago this cave was completely unknown and un-mapped.
The program will begin at 7 p.m. and last about two hours.
The presentation is free to members. Others will pay normal museum admission charges.
