ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS), one of Missouri’s oldest social service agencies and a trusted provider of life-changing services for children and families has announced it has achieved reaccreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA).
“We are honored to have achieved reaccreditation from the Council of Accreditation,” said Mike Duggar, President and Chief Executive Officer for LFCS. “This reaccreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, board of directors, and volunteers in providing high-quality services to Missouri children and families in need.”
COA is an international, independent, nonprofit organization providing nationally recognized human and social service organizations accreditation. COA accreditation is a rigorous process that evaluates an organization’s performance on various standards, including program quality, financial management, and governance.
As a result of not receiving any out-of-compliance ratings in any of the fundamental practice standards, LFCS was expedited through the Pre-Commission Review Report (PCR), meaning the nonprofit exceeded the COA’s expectations and demonstrated a commitment to providing exceptional services to children and families.
“We appreciate the support of the COA and its commitment to helping social service organizations achieve excellence,” Duggar said. “We are proud to be COA accredited and recognized for our top-notch services.”
LFCS provides a wide range of services to children and families throughout Missouri, including adoption, behavioral health, foster care, parenting education, and pregnancy support. LFCS also operates the Hilltop Child and Family Development Center, a safe and loving community for children and their families in North St. Louis.
