JEFFERSON CITY — Two women suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Route DD in Ste. Genevieve County Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 68-year-old Christine E. Rector of Bloomsdale was taken to SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital by Air Evac Helicopter and 49-year-old Rebekah K. Love of Fulton was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by a Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when a westbound 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Rector and an eastbound 2020 Ford Ecosport driven by Love both crossed the centerline and collided.
Both drivers were buckled up.
The crash happened about 2:40 p.m. near Kinsey Road.
Both vehicles were total losses and were towed by Ste. Genevieve County Towing.
