Hope Schmelzle named November Rotary Student of the Month

STE. GENEVIEVE — Hope Schmelzle has beenn named the Rotary Student of the Month for November from Ste. Genevieve High School.

 

 

Hope is the daughter of Julie and Keith Schmelzle.

 

Hope’s scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top 15% of her class and earning the designation of Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude for the past three school years. She has been chosen as a class award recipient for Fundamentals of Art and French I.

 

Hope has been involved in several clubs and organizations, including National Honor Society, Student Council, Mentors, FCA, FCCLA, and National Art Honor Society. Hope has been awarded the distinction of academic all-state while playing multiple sports.

 

Hope has played volleyball, golf, and softball. In softball, she earned all-conference, all-district, and all-region. She also received the Heart and Hustle award and the team leader award.

 

Hope works at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center as a lifeguard. In her free time, Hope enjoys going to coffee shops, watching movies, and hanging out with family and friends.

 

She plans to attend a university and major in architecture or graphic design.
