A funeral will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 for 88-year-old Dolores Marie Schwent of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away peacefully in Sainte Genevieve Thursday, November 16, 2023.
She was born August 18, 1935 in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of Emma Hurst and William Hurst who both preceded her in death.
She married Arthur Schwent June 13, 1959. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters: Michelle (Mark) Hollman of Saint Louis, Mo., Charisse (Chris) Lucchesi of Ballwin, Mo., and Denise (Bruce) Bowenschulte of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons: Greg (Nicole) Schwent of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Chuck (Amy) Schwent of Ballwin, Mo.; grandchildren: Matt (fiancé Amelia), Michael, Megan, Dan (wife Haley), Ellen (fiancé Camden), Tommy, Aaron, Sarah (husband Adam), Adam, Nolan, Nathan, Morgan, Emma, and Claire
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Charles Hurst.
Dolores volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry and was a member of Sainte Genevieve Hospital Auxiliary.
Dolores was a faithful and active member of Ste Genevieve Catholic Church. Her devotion to her faith and family were foremost in her life.
She enjoyed cooking for her family and staying involved with her grandchildren’s activities and accomplishments.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 88-year-old Dolores Marie Schwent of Sainte Genevieve will be held at the Church of Ste. Genevieve Monday, November 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jacob Wessel will officiate.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO
Memorials may be made to Valle Catholic Schools or St.Vincent De Paul Society.
