SGES, SGMS, SGHS students participates in salute to veterans

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Elementary School hosted many local veterans at its annual Veterans Day program Wednesday while Ste. Genevieve Middle and High Schools held their patriotic salute on Thursday.

 

 

The SGES program was led and performed by students in grades K-5 to say thank you to those who have served our country.

 

 

Veterans in attendance were greeted by their family members following the program.

 

 

It was a moving and memorable experience.

 

 

The next day, SGES students gathered along Washington Street to honor all veterans in a parade.

 

 

 

On Thursday, students at SGMS and SGHS, participated in ceremonies honoring veterans, many of whom have children and grandchildren among the student body.

 

 

With Ste. Genevieve R-II Superintendent Dr. Paul Taylor is Scott Readnour, member of the Jefferson Barracks POW/MIA Museum Board. The proclamation he presented to Taylor recognizes the district as a POW/MIA campus.
