JEFFERSON CITY — A 16-year-old Perryville boy suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on Route Z in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the teen, whose name was not released, was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by a Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when the 2001 Ford F250 the youth was driving west on Route Z ran off the right side of the road. The pick up then returned to the roadway, skidded off the left side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
The patrol says it was not known if the teen was buckled up.
The crash happened about 4:47 p.m. Wednesday west of Highway 61.
The pick up was a total loss and was removed from the scene by Perry County Towing.
