JEFFERSON CITY — Two Jackson residents suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on Route M in Ste. Genevieve County Tuesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 70-year-old Debra R. Brown and 70-year-old Robert P. Brown were taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
The patrol says Debra was buckled up, but Robert was not
The accident report states the crash happened when the southbound 2001 Ford Ranger Robert Brown was driving failed to negotiate a curve to the left and the right tires of the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver over-corrected and the vehicle returned to the roadway, slid across the centerline and off the left side of the roadway where its front end struck a rock embankment.
The crash happened about 2:52 p.m. south of Abt Road.
The Ranger received extensive damage and was removed from the scene by Ives Towing.
