JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran tennis players Maggie Hillin and Abby Haley came in sixth in the Class 1 state tournament.
On Friday, Saxony Lutheran’s Doubles Tennis Team members Maggie Hillin & Abby Haley played at Springfield in Class 1 State Doubles Championships.
In Round 1 they defeated Marshall 7–6 (7–3), 6–3.
In Round 2 they lost to St. Michael the Archangel 1–6, 0–6.
In Round 3 they defeated Mount Vernon 6–3, 6–1.
On Saturday:
In Round 4 they defeated Ursuline Academy 6-4, 6-1 to move on to the fifth place medal round.
In the fifth place medal round, they were defeated by Clayton 2-6, 2-6 and finished in sixth place.
