JEFFERSON CITY — Two persons were hurt in a traffic crash on Highway 32 in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 61-year-old Rose M. Weisbrod and 63-year-old Fanie L. Weisbrod, both of Ste. Genevieve, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
The patrol says the crash happened when a westbound 2017 GMC Acadia driven by Rose Weisbrod was stopped to turn into their driveway and was struck in the rear by a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 58-year-old Leroy G. Bader of Ste. Genevieve. After the impact, the Equinox reversed and struck a 2007Honda Civic driven by 18-year-old Hayden M. Ford of Festus.
The patrol says Bader and Ford were not injured.
According to the report, Ford, Rose Weisbrod and Fanie Weisbrod were all buckled up but Bader was not.
There was extensive damage to the Acadia, the Equinox was a total loss and the Civic had minor damage. The Acadia was left in the owner’s driveway, the Equinox was towed by Ste. Genevieve County Towing and the Civic was driven from the scene.
The crash happened about 1:54 p.m. near Gisi Road.
