ST. LOUIS – The Girl Scouts have expanded its mental wellness program to include three mental wellness patches made possible by HCA Healthcare Foundation and developed in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Knowing My Emotions, Finding My Voice, and Showing Up For Me and You mental wellness patches are designed for girls from grades 4 through 12.
These patch programs include a council playbook, adult facilitator guides, meeting aids, parent/caregiver resources, and teaser activities to help us support youth mental wellness. From understanding the current mental health crisis to figuring out how to talk to your daughter about a bad day, we’ve got everything you need to support her.
Life brings up all kinds of emotions, but being a Girl Scout means tapping into a welcoming community of people who uplift and guide her every step of the way! The Girl Scouts Mental Wellness program aims to equip our youth and their caregivers with the tools needed to support their own mental wellness and proactively practice self-care. We Are Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs from community to community, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them.
