PERRYVILLE – The Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission has released the September averages for Perry and Ste. Genevieve Counties.
SEMORPC Environmental Planner Alexandra Rios said the report, the Bonne Terre (Ste. Genevieve Co.) and Farrar (Perry Co.) monitors showed ozone levels of 46 ppb and 48 ppb, respectively.
“Both of these averages fall within the “Good” Air Quality Index (AQI),” Rios stated, adding that “The maximum reported readings of 65 ppb and 56 ppb, fall within the “Moderate” AQI classification.”
Rios concluded that “Overall, the air quality in September was generally good and followed the air quality standards set by the EPA.”
