JEFFERSON CITY — A 28-year-old Ste. Genevieve woman escaped injury in a traffic crash on I-55 in St. Louis County Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Taylor E. Shuh was driving her 2020 GMC Terrain northbound on the interstate when she slowed due to congestion and her vehicle was struck in the rear by a northbound 2003 Pontiac Montana which failed to slow down in time.
Shuh was not injured, but the driver of the Montana, 27-year-old Misty M. Pavel of Park Hills, was taken to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of minor injuries.
The patrol says both drivers were buckled up.
Both vehicles received moderate damage but were driven from the scene.
The crash happened about 7:50 a.m. at mile marker 194.
