A private funeral will be held at a future date for 70-year-old Velda Marie Vogt of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at her residence.
She was born August 2, 1953 in Perryville, MO to Rudolph and Edna (Ruessler) Ponder, who both preceded her in death.
She and Alfred John Vogt were married June 7, 1991. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons: John Paul Morrison and Ryan (Jennifer) Morrison; four brothers: Robert (Louella) Ponder, Wayne Ponder, Micheal Ponder, and Gerald Ponder; three sisters: Evelyn (Gary) Pingel, Clara (James) Blechle, and Pamela (David) Hoff; four grandchildren: Abby Morrison, Reese Morrison, Garrett (Jessica) Parmer, Hailey Minchew; two great-grandchildren: Levi Parmer and Ryan Parmer; and dear friends and caregivers: Tammy Gendron and Kristi Boyd.
Velda was of the Catholic faith and was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek.
She loved to fish, going to hog roasts, family gatherings and spending time at the Ponder Farm. When she was younger she enjoyed playing slow pitch softball. Velda also enjoyed watching her grandkid’s sporting events.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
