Mary S. ‘Sue’ Valleroy

A funeral will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 for 69-year-old Mary S. “Sue” Valleroy of Evansville, Illinois, who passed away at 6:11 pm, Monday, September 25, 2023 at her residence.

 

She was born May 14, 1954 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of  James and Mary (nee Sharp) McClaine who both preceded her in death.

 

Sue married Kendall G. Valleroy on March 12, 1976 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Walsh, Illinois; he survives in Evansville.

 

She is also survived by three children: Chris Valleroy of Steeleville, Ill., Kendra (Kalyn) Little of Evansville, Ill; and Kyle (Jessica) Valleroy of Evansville, Ill.; five siblings: Thomas (Toy) McClaine of Ava, Ill.; Brenda Farris of Sparta, Ill. Carolyn (Mark) Luebbers of New Athens, Ill., Deb (Tom) Davison of Percy, Ill. and Donnie McClaine of Coulterville, Ill.; and nine grandchildren: Jonathan (Payge) Kirkover, Kaylee Kirkover (Fiance Christian Braun), Brittnie Little, Noah Vallerory, Gillian Valleroy, Emele (Jacob) Miller,             Hunter Valleroy, Hope Valleroy and Hallie Valleroy; five great grandchildren: Kaiden Hatley, Mia Kirkover, Frayja Miller, Athena Kempfer and Rhett Kirkhover.

 

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: James McClaine and Ronnie McClaine, a sister-in-law: Launa McClaine, a brother-in-law: James “PeeWee” Farris and a great granddaughter: Ashtynn Danielle Braun.

 

She had worked as a CNA for the Adorers of the Blood of Church in Ruma, Illinois for 16 years. 

 

Sue was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Evansville, Illinois.

 

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, putting together puzzles, taking motorcycle rides with her husband and going camping. 

 

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2023 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Evansville, Illinois

 

A memorial mass for 69-year-old Mary S. “Sue” Valleroy of Evansville, Illinois will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, St. Boniface Catholic Church, Evansville, Illinois. Officiating: Fr. Iuvenius Iheme.

 

Inurnment will be in the St. Pius Catholic Cemetery in Walsh, Illinois.
