Homecoming Court is announced

CHESTER – Chester High School Homecoming 2023 is next week October 2-7 and plans are under way for a fantastic week of fun and remembrances for alumni and current high school students at CHS.
The CHS Student Council has worked hard to create a week of great Homecoming activities. The theme for this year’s Homecoming is, “Neon Nights”. The Student Council has arranged for the following activities throughout Homecoming Week.

The 2023 Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime of the CHS vs Dupo Homecoming Game Friday October 6th. The 2023 Homecoming King will be crowned at 9 p.m. Saturday October 7th at the 2023 Homecoming Dance titled, “Neon Nights”. The public is invited to attend the King Coronation. Monday October 2 will be the beginning of five “Neon Spirit Days” in which students are encouraged to “Dress Up” according to the theme of the day.
Monday October 2: “Country vs Country Club” Day
Tuesday October 3: “Anything but a backpack” Day
Wednesday October 4: “Class Colors Day” and (Powderpuff Football Day)
Thursday October 5: “Dress like a Teacher” Day
Friday October 6: “SCHOOL’s OUT” Day!
Tuesday October 3 will be the Annual Homecoming Games at CHS with a school-wide assembly.
Wednesday October 4 will be the Annual Powderpuff Football Game and Bonfire
Powderpuff Football kicks-off at 5:15 p.m. at W.O. Smith Field
Bonfire-pep rally begins following the Powderpuff football game at approximately 7:30 p.m. behind Colbert Gym
Friday October 6 is the Homecoming Parade at 4:00 p.m.
Friday October 6 is the Homecoming Football game when CHS hosts Dupo at 7 p.m.
Friday October 6 at halftime is the coronation of the 2023 CHS Homecoming Queen
Saturday October 7 is the 2023 Homecoming Dance titled, “Neon Nights”
Dance starts at 7 p.m. and lasts till 10:30 p.m.
King Coronation takes place at 9:00 p.m. (This is open to the public at 8:45 p.m.)
Tickets are just $15 single or $25 per couple
The dance takes place in Chester High School’s Juergens Gymnasium
The 2023 Homecoming Court was announced Friday September 22 after the student body voted on nominations earlier in the day. The court includes two junior girls and two junior boys and three senior girls and three senior boys.
Junior Candidates include: (Queen Candidates) Mirra Krieg and Elaina Lutman
Junior Candidates include: (King Candidates) Max Blechle and Kolton Jany.
Senior Candidates include: (Queen Candidates) Bethany Baughman, Camryn Luthy and Jazzi Merideth.
Senior Candidates include: (King Candidates) Trentin Eggemeyer, Garret Hopkins, and Korbin Jany.
