STE. GENEVIEVE – A lengthy project to construct turn lanes on Highway 32 at the I-55 overpass has given motorists who must traverse the area probable headaches and short tempers.

Temporary traffic signals were installed at the construction zone to limit travel across the interstate to one-way only at a time.
The signals also control access to Highway 32 from the northbound and southbound I-55 exit ramps.
As a result traffic has been backing up, interfering with motorists seeking to turn onto Highway 32 from Routes A and B and from the driveways serving the Dairy Queen and gas stations located there.
The work zone is slated to be in effect through November 1st.
