Lady Jackets win over Carlyle

Macy Bert is Co-Medalist

CHESTER – The Chester High School Lady Jackets picked up another win Tuesday September 19 at Carlyle’s Governor’s Run. The event was a dual, 9-hole match against hosts Carlyle. Chester edged the Lady Indians by six strokes, 196-202.

Chester High School sophomore, Macy Bert, was Chester’s top golfer Tuesday September 19 at Carlyle. Bert shot 44 for the 9-hole event and was Co-Medalist for the match. Bert’s performance helped her Chester Lady Jackets win over the Carlyle Lady Indians. Jim Beers Photo

The Jackets were led by sophomore Macy Bert who also earned Co-Medalist honors with her score of 44 strokes.

Miss Bert closed out her 9-hole round of golf with back-to-back birdies and had a great day on the course, helping her team win over the Lady Indians, 196-202.

With the win the Lady Jackets improved to 12-3 for the season. Next up for CHS will be the 2023 Cahokia Conference Tournament held at the RBM Golf Course in Okawville. The tournament will tee-off at 9:00 a.m.
