A funeral will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 for 60-year-old Rita Lynn Wofford of Clearwater, Florida, who passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at her home.
She was born January 13, 1963 in Festus, Mo.,the daughter of Bernadine “Bernie” Sansoucie, who survives in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Donald Sansoucie, who preceded her in death.
She is also survived by two sons: Stephen Sampson of Tomball, Tex. and Jason (Ashley) Sampson of Magnolia, Tex.; a daughter: Shannon (James) Nicholson of Bismark, Mo.; a brother: Kevin Sansoucie of Sainte Genevieve; four grandchildren: Hayden, Alyssa, Tessa, and Aubrey; and nieces and nephews: Michael, Jamie, Alex, and Morgan; and her dog, Eli.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Bryan “Joe” Sansoucie and Wayne Sansoucie.
Rita was very involved with her friends in her community and enjoyed sewing and crafts.
She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2023 and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.
A funeral for 60-year-old Rita Lynn Wofford of Clearwater, Florida will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Weingarten, Mo. The Rev. Edward Nemeth will officiate.
Burial will follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Weingarten, Mo.
