A funeral will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 for 62-year-old Gary Ritter of Saint Mary, Mo. who passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born November 2, 1960 in Perryville, Mo., the son of Kenneth E. Ritter and Imogene L. (Loness) Ritter, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by: two daughters: Tracey (Roy Jr.) Hagan of Saint Mary, Mo., and Brandy (Jake) Balsman of Perryville, Mo.; a son: Jacob (Kadasha) Ritter of Saint Mary, Mo.; a brother: Thomas Ritter of Saint Mary, Mo.; and seven grandchildren: Riley Hagan, Trenton Balsman, Tanner Hagan, Brock Balsman, MaKynlie Ritter, Mason Balsman and Drake Ritter.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth Ritter, Jr.
Gary was a hard worker and dedicated bricklayer with Local 1 in St. Louis.
He enjoyed hunting, especially duck hunting.
After retirement, Gary spent the last years of his life working on the family farm and enjoying an occasional Harley ride.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2023 and noon to 1 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 62-year-old Gary Ritter of Saint Mary, Mo. will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Estes will officiate.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in St. Mary, Mo.
