A funeral will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 for 88-year-old Bernhardt “Ben” George Biermann of Patton, Missouri who passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born August 21, 1935 in St. Louis, Mo. to Frank H. and Anna K. (Stegmann) Biermann, who both preceded him in death.
Ben and Carol Gabris were married May 12, 1956 in St. Louis, MO. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons: Mike (Kim) Biermann and Ed (Robin) Biermann; two daughters: Debbie (Terry) Etter and PJ (Brad Matheney) Olsen; a brother: Sylvester (Judy) Biermann; a special friend: Barb Taul; nine grandchildren; Dawn (Michael), Josh (Jamie), Amanda (Brian), Dave (Lisa), Jake (Toni), Curt (Michelle), Heidi, Kurt, Trent; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Frank Biermann; a sister: Marie (Don) Sexauer; and a granddaughter: Kelly Nelson.
He served in the United States Army Reserves.
Ben was a parts manager in the automotive industry. He was retired from Lou Fusz Dodge.
He was a member of St. Rosa of Lima Catholic Church.
Ben loved spending time with his family and friends playing cards and dominoes.
He also enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball, mowing and maintaining his property, and sitting on his front porch watching his hummingbirds.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2023 and 8-9:30 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 88-year-old Bernhardt “Ben” George Biermann of Patton will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Silver Lake.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Louis University Hospital.
