A funeral will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 for 72-year-old John “Dave” Thomure of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born June 8, 1951 in Perryville, Mo. to Herschel and Mary Bertha (Tucker) Thomure who both preceded him in death.
Dave married Brenda Tarrillion April 27, 1974 at St. Vincent de Paul in Perryville, Mo.
Survivors include three daughters, Tina Thomure of Ballwin, MO, Cindy (William) Pingel of Troy, Mo., Melissa (John) Austin of Sikeston, Mo.; three grandchildren, Daniel (Mika) Austin, Nicholas (Christina) Austin, Chandler Pingel; three great-grandchildren, Carson Austin, Miller Austin, and Oakley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Harold Thomure and Leroy Thomure.
He was an electrician for Mississippi Lime Co.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Perryville Sportsman’s Club.
Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also loved spending time with his family.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2023 and 8-10 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 72-year-old John “Dave” Thomure of Perryville will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Deacon Direk Hunt officiating.
Burial will be at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Silver Lake.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association.
