MODOC — The Jerry F. Costello Lock and Dam (4800 Lock and Dam Road) no longer requires an altered schedule for recreational lockages.
“We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during the dry summer months but increasing amounts of rainfall have finally returned things back to normal conditions,” an official stated.
However, the official pointed out that the lower boat ramp at the Lock remains closed until the Mississippi River level at the Chester, IL river gauge reaches 10 feet.
Remember to be prepared and always wear your lifejacket when out on or around the water!
