A funeral will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 for 32-year-old Francis E. “Sport” Gibson Jr. of East Saint Louis, Ill. who passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home.
He was born July 4, 1991 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Francs Gibson Sr. who survives. His mother, Angelina M. Gibson, preceded him in death.
He is also survived by a brother: Steven Gibson of Wentzville, Mo.; a sister; Savanah Gibson of Collinsville, Ill.; his grandmother: Cathy Gibson; and several aunts and Uncles and a nephew.
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Briana Gibson; grandmother: Erma Sandella; two grandfathers: John Sandella and Francis Gibson.
“Sport” enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve
