David Alan Choate

David Alan Choate, 23, of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 4:50 pm, Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.

 

He was the son of Harold Alan and Mary (nee Clore) Choate and was born on January 24, 2000, in Perryville, Missouri.

 

David married Alexis (nee Chapman) Choate on November 20, 2020, in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

He had worked as a deck hand for Knight Hawk Coal – Lone Eagle Dock in Rockwood, Illinois.

 

His passion was family. David loved his wife, Alexis and adored his daughters, Paisley and Violet. He loved coffee with his parents, family vacations, cousin bonfires, farming, hunting, archery, swimming, basketball, going to top golf, gaming and inside jokes with his cousins. Apex Legends. Period.

 

He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church in Rockwood, Illinois.

 

David is survived by his beloved wife – Alexis Choate and beautiful daughters – Paisley and Violet. His parents – Alan and Mary Choate. As well as Kristel Choate (Larry Wernle), Tavis (Sandy) Choate, Tyson (Amanda) Choate, Alisha (Nathan) Hicks, Shawna Gibbs, Aaron Watkins, Molly Watkins, Tristen Watkins, Shane Ashby, Skylar Rinne, Greg (Emma) Rinne and children – Adela and Remington, Michael Choate, Colin Choate, Peyton Choate, Rylan Choate and Ayla Choate, Brooke Frazer, Elizabeth Gibbs-Frazer and daughter – Aliyah, Blake Frazer, Madison Frazer, Chelsea Cole (Charlie Skrabacz), Natalie Hicks, Olivia Hicks, Judah Hicks, Cortnie Winkler and Candis Knapp.

 

He was preceded in death by: Glen Frazer, Rose Rinne, and Lazarus Hicks.

 

A funeral service for DAVID ALAN CHOATE will begin at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, Illinois. Officiating: Rev. Thomas Klausing

 

Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Rockwood, Illinois. (A meal will follow interment at Pleasant Ridge Church, please bring a cover dish and lawn chairs)

 

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 and 8-11 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, Illinois.
