A funeral will be held Friday, August 4, 2024 for 91-year-old Lawrence J. Johnson of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
He was born May 6, 1932 in Sedgewickville, Mo. to James Daniel and Dora Ethel (Doggett) Johnson who both preceded him in death.
Lawrence married Edna Marie Brewer January 19, 1952.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley (Shirley) Johnson, Alan Johnson; four daughters, Brenda (Julius) Fadler, Aileen Robey, Verna Melvin, Cathy Millering; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lester Johnson, Lancy Johnson, Leslie Johnson; two sisters, Gladys Smith, Hazel Johnson.
He was a livestock farmer and enjoyed farming, making maple syrup and coon hunting.
He was of the Christian Faith.
Visitation will be from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral service for 91-year-old Lawrence J. Johnson of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Charles Mangels officiating.
Burial will be at Yount Community Cemetery in Yount, Mo.
