A funeral will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 for 97-year-old Ralph Pestor Kipp of Chester, Illinois, who passed away at 8:55 am, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.
He was born April 18, 1926 in Chester to Gottfried and Hermine (nee Pestor) Kipp who both preceded him in death.
Ralph married Bonnie I. Barthel on September 1, 1960 in Brighton, Colorado; she preceded him in death on March 12, 2008.
He is survived by two sons: Dale (Beth) Kipp of Blacksburg, Virg. and Lyle (Sandy) Kipp of Naperville, Ill.; three grandchildren: Lydia Adelaide Kipp, Lori Anne Kipp and Paul Alan Kipp and two nieces and three nephews.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the Pechacek Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois and 10-11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois.

Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, Illinois.
He was a dairy farmer turned small business man and owned many different establishments in Chester.
Ralph was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester where he served in many roles over the years.
He was also very active in Rotary Club and was a member of the National Association of Milk Bottle Collectors.
